So we needed a new solar setup to go with the Cricket, once again we turned to our friends over at Bioenno Power for help and they had exactly what we were looking for, something simple to use, easy to carry, not very bulky and that it delivered enough power to be able and charge a 100AH LFP battery.

Welcome to the “180 Watt Foldable Solar Panel”… this thing has so far exceeded our expectations, 3 panels of 60w each that fold into each other providing 18v per panel and a combined 10A in parallel.

Note that this solar panel setup does not come with a charge controller so you need to supply/purchase separately or use your own (if you already have one)

For solar charge controller we went with an MPPT since we are charging an LFP 100AH, we need to get every bit of PV we can. We went with a “Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 Solar Charge Controller 100V 20A with Bluetooth” and built a small solar case to store it while traveling and carry all solar cables and extra USB ports and such.
